MUNICIPAL BAND CONCERT SERIES

Set in Cole Park Amphitheater along the shoreline with our beautiful Corpus Christi Bay as the backdrop (one concert at Heritage Park), these concerts are a delightful musical experience. The presentations are offered by the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department, Del Mar College and the Corpus Christi Municipal Band for everyone to enjoy. So, invite your friends and family, bring your lawn chairs, blankets and enjoy the many fine concerts.

CONCERTS: Sundays, 8:30pm–9:30pm  at Cole Park Ampitheater (*unless otherwise noted) June 14–July 26, 2009 June 14 "Strike Up The Band" June 21 "A Special Music Day for Dad" June 28  "Appreciating Our Heroic Armed Forces" July 5 "Music That Won World War II" July 12 "Spectaculare Show Biz Music" July 19 "A Sampling of Good Jazz" July 26* "Swinging to Big Band Hits Featuring Ballroom Dancing in the Park," 8pm at Heritage Park. This is a very special unique concert of Big Band era music and music showcasing "award-winning" ballroom bancers on a lighted dance floor. Audience members will have opportunities to also dance to the great music of our very own BIG BAND!
