This program is FREE of charge for youth ages 1-18.

Lunch and an afternoon snack will be provided at 29 local sites. Click here for the flyer with the current list of participating sites and schedule notes (last updated on July 15, 2010).

No pre-qualifications or proof of income are needed. Registration in the Summer Recreation Programs and Camps is not required to participate in the Summer Food Program.

This program is grant funded by the Texas Department of Agriculture.

Did You Know?

During the summer of 2008, the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department served over 165,000 free meals and during the summer of 2009, it provided 80,336 free meals. We have been providing this nutritional meal service program to youth in our community since 1993. For 17 years, youth who might otherwise not have had the opportunity to eat a nutritious meal, have been served through our program.
